5k Run/Walk & Community Day

Creating a New Community Day!

Bayshore Community Hospital is excited to host a 5k Run/Walk & Community Day on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

The day will kick-off at Bayshore with a timed 5k through Holmdel, and free kids races. After the races, join us back at the hospital for a fall day of fun for everyone including kids activities and games, music, food, free health screenings, and more!

 

5k Awards & Prizes

$3,000 in prize money is awarded to the top three male & female finishers and top three male & female finishers in the following age groups: 24-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

Running and Injury Prevention

Planning to participate in Bayshore Community Hospital’s 5K race this October? Whether you’re just starting out or are looking to brush up on your running, join John Connors, DPM, board certified sports podiatrist from Riverview Medical Center for a FREE informative seminar where he will provide tips and techniques to avoid injury when running. Light refreshments will be served.

Dr. Connors treats local and world-class runners, including Shannon Rowbury, 2008 Olympian, and Khalid Khannouchi, former world-record holder in the marathon.
