Cardiac Care Services

About Our Cardiac Services

Bayshore Community Hospital, part of the Meridian CardioVascular Network, provides cardiac diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation services as well as access to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, the regional provider of cardiac surgery. So when an acute or chronic condition becomes evident, Bayshore is your one-stop diagnosis, treatment, and recovery center close to home.

Early detection and treatment are key when it comes to beating cardiovascular disease – the number one cause of death in the United States, and Bayshore has made significant advancements in cardiovascular services since 2010; including most recently earning the highest designated Chest Pain Accreditation by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC).

Additionally, our full-service cardiac catheterization laboratory received approval from the Department of Health and is now qualified as a Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) hospital, approved to provide primary (or emergency) angioplasty procedures to patients found to be having a heart attack.

Our cardiac team – made up of board certified cardiologists, cardiac trained registered nurses, certified cardiac technicians, registered dieticians, and state-licensed physical therapists – provides a complete range of cardiac diagnostic services and tests, as well as minimally-invasive treatment options in our cardiac catheterization laboratory and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) suite.

Finally, our cardiac rehabilitation program completes the continuum of care, offering a three-step program to help patients get back to the quality of life they enjoyed before their recent health episode, and remain healthy for years to come.
