Bayshore Community Hospital Welcomes Shaun Altneu, D.O.


Holmdel - Bayshore Community Hospital proudly welcomes Shaun Altneu, D.O. to its medical staff. Dr. Altneu specializes in Internal Medicine.

Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude from George Washington University, Dr. Altneu received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Altneu began his post-graduate training at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan before transferring to UMDNJ-University Hospital in Newark, NJ, where he completed training as a categorical medical resident, providing him with broad experience in internal medicine in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.

Dr. Altneu is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and received his certification from the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA).

Dr. Altneu has received numerous honors such as 1st Quintile Rank Graduate, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and was the Reuben and Dorothy Cohen Medical Scholarship recipient, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (2006-2007).

Dr. Altneu is also associated with numerous professional associations such as the American College of Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Altneu is pleased to join the Meridian Health family, joining Matawan Medical Associates with privileges at Bayshore Community Hospital and Riverview Medical Center.
