Mitchell-Vassar Vision Awareness Day Featuring Gail McWilliams

Get ready to be inspired!  

Holmdel, NJ - Bayshore Community Hospital will host Mitchell-Vassar Vision Awareness Day Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the Robert B. Meyner Reception Center at the PNC Bank Arts Center.

Gail McWilliams, a motivational speaker who uses humor, joy and personal experience with vision impairment will provide inspiration for seeing beyond life’s current obstacles and challenges. Her talk, which is infused with threads of hope, vision and passion for life, will inspire all participants to view life as a gift that is full of possibilities.

The event will also include an educational program presented by Manoj M. Thakker, M.D., Board Certified Ophthalmologist along with a resource fair featuring the following organizations:

New Jersey Blind Citizens Association
Lions Club
Monmouth County Health Department
New Jersey Commission for the Blind

Lunch will be served, and guests are encouraged to bring any unwanted glasses for the Lions Club "Recycle for Sight" program.
