Bayshore Community Hospital Welcomes New Bariatric Surgeon

Bayshore Proudly Welcomes Matthew LeMaitre, M.D. to Medical Staff  

Holmdel, NJ - Bayshore Community Hospital is pleased to welcome Matthew LeMaitre, M.D. to the Medical Staff.  Dr. LeMaitre is fellowship trained in advanced laparoscopic bariatric and minimally invasive surgery from Hackensack University Medical Center, and board certified in general surgery.  His office is located at the Center for Bariatrics at Bayshore in Holmdel.

Dr. LeMaitre's training focused on revision bariatric surgery and sleeve gastrectomy, as well as gastric band and bypass procedures.  Prior to completing his fellowship training Dr. LeMaitre completed his surgical training at The University of Massachusetts Medical School in Massachusetts, where he held the title of Chief Surgical Resident. 

Dr. LeMaitre speaks French, Spanish and Russian. He is pleased to join the Meridian Health family as part of the medical staff at Bayshore Community Hospital, and joins Karl Strom, M.D. in the Center for Bariatrics at Bayshore.

The Center for Bariatrics is a designated Center of Excellence by the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).  The team of expert physicians at the Center use a comprehensive approach to surgery, including counseling, nutrition, and exercises in addition to medical and surgical treatment to ensure the best possible outcome for each and every patient.
