Meridian Health Named Most Wired for 16th Consecutive Year

Neptune, NJ - Meridian Health was recently named one of the nation’s most wired hospitals according to the 17th Annual HealthCare’s Most Wired™ survey released by the American Hospital Association’s Health Forum and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). Meridian has received this honor more times than any other existing health system in the state of New Jersey.

The 2015 Most Wired™ survey and benchmarking study, in partnership with CHIME and sponsored by VMware, is a leading industry barometer measuring information technology (IT) use and adoption among hospitals nationwide. The survey of more than 741 participants, representing more than 2,213 hospitals, examined how organizations are leveraging IT to improve performance for value-based health care in the areas of infrastructure, business and administrative management, quality and safety, and clinical integration.

"At Meridian, patients are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we are focused on introducing leading-edge technologies to provide outstanding care, and useful resources like our robust patient portal,, to not only drive engagement, but also help them take a more active role in managing their own health care,” says Rebecca Weber, senior vice president and chief information officer for Meridian Health. “Equally as important is having aggressive security and privacy measures in place to safeguard our patient’s data so we remain a trusted and valuable partner in health.”
