If you're suffering from a non-healing wound, you're not alone. Every year,
chronic wounds caused by diabetes, poor circulation or other conditions, keep 3
to 5 million Americans just like you from doing the things they love to do. But
the Wound Care Center

can help.
Overview of our services
The Bayshore Wound Care Center

is a comprehensive outpatient center that provides a thorough diagnostic appraisal of the wound and the patient, followed by a carefully designed case management program.
Our interdisciplinary team of physicians and nurses is dedicated to treating wounds — including many that have resisted healing after months and even years of traditional treatment. It's all we do. In fact, most Wound Care Center

patients are completely healed in a few months.
Your care is led by a board-certified vascular surgeon, with a team that includes general surgeons, infectious disease specialists, a podiatrist, and nurses, all with advanced training in wound care management.
When you come in, our staff will evaluate your wound and general health. They'll review your medical history. A blood test may be involved. You also may need special tests that give us information about blood flow and oxygen flow in the wound area.
After receiving your test results, we'll put together a treatment program based on your special needs. This program will include regular visits to the Wound Care Center

to provide treatment, evaluate progress and make any changes that might be needed. You (or your caregiver) will be given detailed instructions in home care, dressing (bandage) changes and protecting the wound from further injury.
