Bayshore Community Hospital
Foundation, established in 1981, is dedicated to the development and
cultivation of philanthropic relationships from individuals,
organizations, foundations and corporations on behalf of Bayshore
Community Health Services. The Foundation is recognized by the Internal
Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and a registered
charity with the state of New Jersey.
Over the past few years, support from the community has helped us to
achieve the completion of the John Boyd and Kathryn Roberta Mitchell
Pavilion for Emergency Services; creation of Bayshore’s Interfaith
Memorial Chapel and establishment of the Vassar Eye Center, the region’s
only free resource center for individuals with vision impairment.
Enhancing oncology programs and educational services at Bayshore is a
key focus for the future. An outpatient infusion suite which opened in
2007 is designed with ten private rooms. Community donations have helped
us furnish each room with artwork which make the rooms more home-like
and adds to the relaxing atmosphere of the suite.
- Annual Fund provides unrestricted funds for priority use by Bayshore
Community Hospital Foundation. Your annual gift is an important resource
of support for the Foundation. Unrestricted gifts are used to meet the
most critical needs such as medical equipment, underwriting priority
projects or to be used for start up funds for community outreach
programs.
- "We Care" Grateful Patient Program, a program designed for patients to
say "thank you" by honoring a nurse, clinician, department, program or
physician for the excellent care they received during their stay at
Bayshore. Donations can be restricted to that particular department or
where it’s needed most.
- Special Events, the Foundation sponsors fundraising events, including
our Bayshore Golf Classic and Charity Ball. Volunteer committees assist
in putting together wonderful events at great venues each year.
Participants and sponsors make these events successful and assist the
Foundation in supporting the goals of Bayshore Hospital. To become a
volunteer or to make sure you receive an invitation or sponsorship
application, call the Foundation office or click on “Special Events” for
information, at bayshorehospital.org.
- Tributes and Memorials are ways to honor someone or perpetuate the
memory of a loved one. Gifts made to Bayshore Community Hospital
Foundation to commemorate someone who is close to you during a special
time of their life, or preserving the memory of a loved one, friend, or
colleague. Acknowledgments are sent to the family advising them a gift
has been made. These gifts keep on giving by supporting medical services
and programs at Bayshore which benefit our community.
- Matching Gifts provided by employers to encourage community investment
and enable you to double (or even triple) your gift. Contact the
company’s Human Resource Department for the matching gift form, complete
your portion and send it along with your donation to us Bayshore
Community Hospital Foundation.
- Planned Giving, by including Bayshore in your estate planning, you can
create a lasting bond with our mission and ensure that our community is
cared for in generations to come. Aside from the tax advantages
associated with planned giving, making a deferred gift allows you to
support a charity without impacting current or future income. Charitable
gift annuities provide you with income for life. Please contact Beth Milewski, Director, Development for more information.
