Among the services offered are:
| |
Cardiac Services — Bayshore Community
Hospital's comprehensive cardiac services include such testing as cardiac
catheterization, EKGs, stress testing (regular and nuclear), holter monitors,
and echocardiograms, designed to detect the presence of structural and
functional diseases of the heart and/or coronary arteries. Bayshore also offers
cardiac rehabilitation, an exercise program that addresses the overall physical,
emotional, and educational needs of cardiac patients before and after surgery,
as well as on an inpatient and outpatient basis. All cardiac services require an
appointment. |
| |
Cardiac Catheterization/Digital Subtraction
Angiography Suite — One of the few suites in the country engineered
to adapt to radiology as well as cardiology procedures, Bayshore's
system is as sophisticated as labs equipped to perform detailed e-vascularization
work. In addition to cardiac catherization, specialists are able to
provide such advanced services as the recently developed vertebroplasty,
a minimally invasive procedure designed to repair compression fractures
of the spine. |
| |
Counseling — A department of Bayshore Community
Hospital, Bayshore Counseling Center focuses on helping clients deal
with a variety of substance abuse and mental health issues, as well
as providing individual, family, and group counseling. It is located
off-site, at 668 N. Beers St., Holmdel. |

chemotherapy, phlebotomy, insertion of pacemakers, thoracentesis,
paracentesis, and plasmapheresis. All procedures require appointments
and typically are scheduled by your physician. Patients report to the
Admitting Office on the day of the procedure. |

Minor Surgery — Minor Surgery procedures are performed in the unit,
rather than the hospital's Operating Rooms; they do not require hospital
stays or lengthy in-hospital recovery times. In general, patients have
local anesthesia, undergo their procedure, and are able to leave the
hospital right away. These services include some pain management
procedures. |
