The Vassar Eye Center at Bayshore —
one of the many FREE services provided
by the Hospital — is always reaching for
ways to improve the quality of life for
people experiencing declining sight or
blindness.
The Center's latest achievement is its
success in bringing to New Jersey the
first movie theater with Audio Vision — a
descriptive, oral commentary of plot,
action and characters. It is another
resource added to the dozens explained
in the complimentary kit given to each
guest at the Center.
Audio Vision is a feature in many stage
productions in the area of presenting
plays, comedies and musicals. To find
out about other helpful programs, and
the extraordinary equipment and aids
designed specifically to maintain the independence of a person losing the ability to
see clearly, visit the Vassar Eye Center located inside Bayshore Community Hospital.
